Privacy notice.
What this site collects about you, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask me to do with it. Short version: only what you type into a form, no cookies, and nothing sold or used for ads.

Who I am
This site is run by me, Richard Gleeson, a designer based in Dover, Kent, trading as RG Web Design. I'm responsible for the personal information it collects. You can reach me at richardgleeson83@gmail.com or on +44 (0) 7823 77 88 95.
What I collect, and why
- Enquiry forms. The forms on Contact, Web Services and the AI audit page ask for your name, email and message, and the last two also ask for your website address. The audit form also asks for the search you'd most like to be found for and your Google listing's name. I use this only to reply to you and, if we agree to work together, to do the work. The lawful basis is taking steps you've asked for before a possible contract, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- Emails and calls. If you email or ring me, I keep what you send for the same reasons.
- Server logs. Like every website, the server records each page request. See Analytics below. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and seeing which pages are read.
I don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you. I'll only add you to a mailing list if you ask.
Who else handles it
- Web3Forms receives what you type into a form and emails it to me. It keeps submissions for up to three years, on Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Hetzner infrastructure. Web3Forms privacy policy.
- Google (Gmail) holds my email, so form messages and emails you send me are stored there.
- Krystal hosts the site, in a UK data centre in London. Its servers log your IP address and browser details when a page is requested. Krystal privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies a few extra typefaces on five pages: the design system, the two sample audit reports, and the Action Carpets and Down To Groundworks case studies, which show those clients' brand fonts. On those pages your browser sends Google your IP address. The site's own typefaces are stored on its own server.
- betCollab, the design studio I co-founded, serves the live components embedded on the betCollab case study. They load only on that page.
Some of these companies process data outside the UK, mainly in the US. Where they do, they rely on the UK's approved safeguards for international transfers, as set out in their own policies.
Analytics
The site runs no analytics script, and it doesn't use Google Analytics. To see how many people visit and which pages they read, I look at the totals cPanel's statistics tools build from the server's logs. Those logs hold each request's IP address, the page, the time, the referring page and the browser, and stay with Krystal. I don't use them to work out who you are.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and saves nothing on your device.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries for up to two years after we last spoke, then delete them. If we work together, I keep project and invoice records for six years, as UK tax rules require. Web3Forms deletes its copy of a form submission after three years at most.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, object to how I use it, or ask me to restrict how I use it. Email me and I'll reply within a month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If what this site collects changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
